Nexiant has an impressive track record of innovation in the MRO market.  In its early days, Nexiant adapted dispensing technology with patented solutions designed specifically for MRO inventory.  Nexiant was first-to-market with a SaaS solution delivered via subscription, and in 2012 continues to innovate with Nexiant 8, the only end-to-end solution for the MRO supply-chain.  Nexiant 8 also heralds the adoption of Microsoft Azure, a powerful Cloud-based computing platform.  In parallel with Nexiant 8, Nexiant is introducing its new Touchscreen controller that is similar in power and operation to the wave of tablet computers available in the consumer market.  Nexiant Touchscreen further reduces the barrier between users and technology, increasing the flexibility and functionality for Nexiant customers and partners.
 

Microsoft® Windows Azure™ Powers Nexiant Software

Nexiant software is delivered as a web-based service using a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) subscription model.  This model replaces costly and labor intensive onsite hardware and software, and frees Nexiant users from system maintenance responsibility.

Nexiant 8 is developed and delivered using Microsoft Windows Azure and other Microsoft Azure technologies.  Windows Azure is Microsoft’s on demand cloud based compute, storage, networking and content delivery platform hosted at Microsoft’s data centers.  The Azure platform affords customers and partners ultimate flexibility, scalability, security and availability for their Nexiant software.

Windows Azure provides a host of capabilities required by Nexiant to deliver applications “in the cloud” both now and in the future.  In addition to its global network of resilient data centers, which offer virtually unlimited scalability, the platform includes a specialized database (SQL Azure™), rigorous security, business intelligence, content delivery (for example, MRO product images and descriptions), and tools to integrate with customers’ existing software systems.

Nexiant’s proprietary technology is protected by a number of US patents.  In particular, Nexiant has been awarded patents for the design of its carousel-based dispensing cabinets, and for SaaS software to manage point-of-use dispensing.
