Nexiant 8 Innovation
Nexiant 8 is a game-changing product that delivers supply-chain management capability that has never before been offered to the industrial supply community. These capabilities enable Nexiant customers and partners to model and support the entire supply-chain between their organizations.

Enterprise Visibility and Control
Our customers and partners are often large, complex, geographically-dispersed organizations. Industrial suppliers and distributors typically have a geographic region and branch structure that is overlaid by multiple sales channels. These might include commodity-focused business units, industry vertical units, named account units, and diverse sales channels – counter, call center, online, catalog, and truck. Together these provide multiple touch points with the customer, and make it challenging to obtain a single, cohesive picture of account activity much less operate an integrated supply-chain. Adding to this complexity, the customer’s enterprise typically involves many locations embedded within a geographic and divisional reporting structure.
Nexiant 8 has the flexibility to model both the customer and supplier enterprises to any level of depth and breadth. Authorized users may then report and analyze information for any slice or at any level of the supply chain using powerful and insightful business intelligence tools.
Consumption Controls
One of the keys to reducing MRO expense is to exercise control of item usage. Nexiant 8 provides the ability to exclude or limit the amount of material that may be used in aggregate or by time period. Limits can be set by any parameter, including commodity code, job code, cost center, department or site. The system provides alerts to notify when a limit has been reached, or to warn when a threshold has been crossed.
Configurability
Nexiant 8 can often adapt to your specific operations without any additional programming effort. This is because our software has extensive configurability already built in. For example, we can set-up a location hierarchy that exactly models the inventory locations within your facility, and we can implement different consumption controls in different zones. In addition, Nexiant 8 adapts to your organization by providing custom data fields, and flexible item classifications and reference codes for your reporting, analysis and cost accounting needs.
Program Management
As industrial supply relationships become more sophisticated, the requirement to model and operate specific contractual commitments becomes much more significant. Examples of these requirements include:
- Defining replenishment rules by item or location
- Defining and monitoring KPIs and metrics
- Defining and monitoring pricing compliance across the enterprise
- Defining inventory liability rules for items moving through VMI and CMI locations
- Establishing and monitoring inventory and spend reduction targets.
Nexiant 8 is developing an extremely flexible means to configure the business rules that govern these activities. Nexiant’s business intelligence capability is designed to understands these rules and incorporates them into management reports and dashboards.
Nexiant’s goal is enable business partners to quickly and confidently implemented programs to support the real-world environment of complex procurement agreements and supplier commitments.
