IRVINE, Calif., Jan. 30, 2008 – Nexiant, a leading provider of MRO inventory management solutions for the industrial market, today announced the appointment of Scott J. Poteracki to the position of Chief Financial Officer, a move that strengthens the company’s management team during a period of accelerating growth.
Poteracki brings over 30 years of financial and operational management experience to Nexiant, primarily in the high-tech sector. He has broad and progressive knowledge in a variety of global business environments, both public and private. Poteracki is known for successfully attaining strategic performance objectives and creatively solving complex financial issues.

Most recently, Poteracki served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for MTI (MTIC), a total information storage infrastructure solutions provider where he was responsible for the company’s financial and fiscal management policies, investor relations, information technology, human resources and administrative functions. Poteracki also held Chief Financial Officer positions at Cray, Inc., a provider of high-performance computing solutions for challenging scientific and engineering problems; and Racal Instruments, Inc. a company that designs and manufactures test equipment for defense, semiconductor, optical and general-purpose markets. Poteracki was recruited to Racal with the specific goal of preparing the company for sale which was completed in 2004.
Before that, Poteracki spent two years at Broadcom, a leading provider of highly integrated silicon solutions that enable broadband digital transmission of voice, video and data. He served as Corporate Controller and Senior Director, Finance and was a leader in the successful efforts to evaluate, negotiate, close and integrate 10 acquisitions.
Poteracki also spent 22 years in senior financial management positions across several different business groups at Motorola, Inc., ultimately becoming Corporate Vice President and Controller, Communications Enterprise. Poteracki started his financial career as an Audit Senior at Coopers & Lybrand before taking his first of many positions at Motorola.
Poteracki is a Certified Public Accountant who holds an MBA from Arizona State University and a BS in finance from the University of Illinois.
