Bill Sickler, Chief Executive Officer

Bill is a seasoned operating executive who has served as the CEO for six venture backed, pre-public companies over the past 20 years. While at Arzoon, he refocused the company’s strategic direction, restructured engineering operations and completed a successful sale of the company to SSA Global.

 

During his tenure at Gadzoox Networks, Bill led the company to early leadership in the SAN market, culminating in a successful IPO with valuation exceeding $1 billion.

 

At Network Computing, he tripled revenue while cutting expenses, ultimately selling the company to Seagate. Prior to this, Bill spent 12 years at Ungermann-Bass where his last position was chief operating officer.  During his four year tenure as COO, he grew yearly revenue from $150M to $350M and dramatically improved profitability.

 

He started his career as a consultant at Pittiglio, Rabin, Todd & McGrath where he focused on solving operational problems for high technology companies.

 

Bill holds an MBA in Finance from the University of California, Berkeley and a BSE in Structural Engineering from Princeton University.

 

Scott Poteracki, Chief Financial Officer

Scott Poteracki has over 30 years of financial and operational management experience, primarily in the high-tech sector.  He has broad and progressive knowledge in a variety of global business environments, both public and private.  Scott is known for successfully attaining strategic performance objectives and creatively solving complex financial issues.

 

Before joining Nexiant, Scott served as executive vice president and chief financial officer for MTI, a total information storage infrastructure solutions provider where he was responsible for the company’s financial and fiscal management policies, investor relations, information technology, human resources and administrative functions.  Scott also held chief financial officer positions at Cray, Inc., a provider of high-performance computing solutions for challenging scientific and engineering problems; and Racal Instruments, Inc. a company that designs and manufactures test equipment for defense, semiconductor, optical and general-purpose markets.  He was recruited to Racal with the specific goal of preparing the company for sale which was completed in 2004.

 

Prior to that, Scott spent two years at Broadcom, a leading provider of highly integrated silicon solutions that enable broadband digital transmission of voice, video and data. He served as corporate controller and senior director of finance and was a leader in the successful efforts to evaluate, negotiate, close and integrate 10 acquisitions.

 

Scott also spent 22 years in senior financial management positions across several different business groups at Motorola, Inc., ultimately becoming corporate vice president and controller, communications enterprise.  He started his financial career as an audit senior at Coopers & Lybrand before taking his first of many positions at Motorola.

 

Scott is a Certified Public Accountant who earned an MBA from Arizona State University and a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Illinois.

 

Anand Rau, Chief Technology Officer

As chief technology officer, Anand leads Nexiant’s products and engineering organization and is responsible for all aspects of product design, architecture and development.  Anand has more than 20 years of software development and product management experience in delivering enterprise-class, mission-critical software applications. He has engineered solutions in the past to support enterprise location & facility management, IT risk management, supply chain management, industrial automation, and medical devices.

 

Prior to joining Nexiant, Anand was the vice president of engineering at Accruent where he was responsible for all of Accruent’s products and led the product management, engineering, QA and IT organizations.

 

In addition, he was the chief software architect, vice president of engineering and a co-founder of RiverOne, Inc., where he designed a implemented a SaaS-based solution that linked contract manufacturers with global electronics firms that represent 25% of worldwide high-tech manufacturing. After RiverOne was acquired by i2 Technologies (ITWO), Anand helped establish the i2 Tech offices in Southern California and was instrumental in integrating the RiverOne and i2 Technologies teams.

 

His diverse career has had him holding lead and management positions in other successful startups, and in engineering roles at other organizations including Hewlett Packard.  He has also provided extensive consulting help to startups to establish their software and product development organizations and processes.

 

Anand holds Master Of Science Degrees in Computer Science and in Physics from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester, Massachusetts.

 

Mark Vettese, Senior Vice President, Sales and Services

Mark Vettese has over 30 years of senior operational management experience, with expertise including start-up, turnaround and high-growth organizations.  At Nexiant, Mark is responsible for building and managing our relationships with industrial distributors and suppliers as well as growing Nexiant’s successful manufacturing customer base.

 

Before joining Nexiant, Mark spent five years in the software industry.  He served as group vice president Americas, for the consulting services group of JDA Software Group, a demand chain software company.  Mark also held the position of general manager for manufacturing and retail industry solutions at TIBCO Software.

 

Earlier in his career, Mark held several sales management positions at McDonnell Douglas Corporation, ROLM Corporation and Texas Instruments.

 

Mark earned an MBA from Claremont Graduate School in Claremont, Calif. and a B.S.E.E. from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

 

Bryan Rigney, Vice President, Operations

Bryan Rigney is primarily responsible for supporting Nexiant customers and partners. Bryan has 20 years of experience in the MRO industry, where he focused on technology to enable distribution and supply-chain operations. Bryan held executive positions for a Global PIM provider, as well as integrated supply and industrial distributors operating throughout North America.
